HeadWrappers is a hair loss advisory service, focusing on alternatives to wigs and practical tips. Their aim is to help people look good and feel more confident about themselves as they undergo cancer treatments which may cause hair loss.

HeadWrappers was founded by a group of volunteers who originally worked as part of Breast Cancer Care’s Headstrong Team.  This service was ceased in the summer of 2016 as Breast Cancer Care could no longer provide the funding.  Cris, Julie and Karyn felt that the service was an important one, and that there was a need for those who were experiencing hair loss to be fully supported at what could be a really distressing time.  As such HeadWrappers was formed.  They currently provide services at Maggie’s Cancer Support Centre in Charing Cross Hospital; BMI Bishops Wood Hospital, Northwood  and The Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at the East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

His Church

In It Together is an initiative with HIS Church, an emergency goods redistribution charity, focused on providing food and supplies to those who need it most. Before the crisis HIS Church (Registered charity no 1097667) distributed on average just over 50,000 meals a week. They are currently looking at distributing 200,000 across a network of 15,000 charities and the demand is growing.
We will focus on all aspects of support from individuals, charities and schools to essential food drop-offs for NHS workers through our In It Together campaign.

Teenage Cancer Trust

We have a fantastic team of staff and volunteers who are inspired daily by the amazing young people who are treated on our units and via our outreach services. Young people help us decide the best way to offer cancer services and are at the heart of everything we do. The Little Princess Trust

We provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment. The Little Princess Trust is a children’s cancer charity and our mission is to supply real hair wigs to children suffering with cancer, for the duration of their treatment.  However, in addition we assist children with other conditions which also result in hair loss, the most common being alopecia.  Our commitment to these children is different.  Despite being set up to help children with cancer, the Trust is able to supply children that do not have a cancer diagnosis with a single wig.  Whilst we are unable to commit to supplying more than one wig, we hope that this gesture will help the child and family whilst they decide on their long-term plans for dealing with this condition.
